Goal: When Phillips Murrah P.C. initiated its move into a new office building, construction was still underway. This gave our client the unique opportunity to choose their finishes and other finer details, allowing them to truly personalize their three-floor space.
Our client wanted to do a 180º pivot from its current aesthetic, abandoning its dark, traditional look and replacing it with a more updated, modern one with light finishes, clean lines, and unexpected pops of color. Our Oklahoma City team partnered with the architect to select furniture to realize our client’s vision.
Scope: To differentiate the office’s nine conference rooms, we incorporated Phillips Murrah’s corporate blue in several ways, from using it on tabletops to table frames. For their large boardroom, we provided a custom table (photographed above) large enough to seat 44 individuals seamlessly or be divided into two tables of 22 when the room’s partition is closed.
Our client also wanted their staff and attorneys to be able to personalize their private spaces. To do this, we created a “menu” of items to choose from. This included several desk options (with the same light and neutral finishes) that could be styled with shelves, cubbies, cabinets, or other features. It also included side chairs and guest chairs in several styles, colors, and fabrics. This approach allowed everyone to have an office that reflected their personal tastes while still preserving a cohesive overall aesthetic.
The third floor includes a large outdoor patio space to be utilized for corporate and private events, as well as by staff during the day. A variety of seating areas break up the space, allowing guests to enjoy views of the city while relaxing in comfortable lounge chairs and sofas, chat near the warmth of the large fireplace, or work or dine around an extra-large table.
Finally, our team also added warmth to the space with several ancillary settings for visitors that provide both comfort and durability.
Overall, the team transformed this law firm into a beautiful, contemporary office space guaranteed to attract and retain top talent and clients alike. In fact, Phillips Murrah P.C. was featured in 2024 Oklahoma City’s Coolest Office Spaces, published by CBRE.
