Goal: Newman University sought to update its existing library/commons area into a new Student Success Center, which would serve as a major ‘hub’ for the university. In addition to a space for current students to congregate, socialize, and study, our client wanted it to help attract potential students to the school and play a role in the recruitment process.
The team wanted the new center to be bright, functional, and collaborative—with break-away spaces for private/concentrated study or for small groups to work together.
Scope: Our team worked closely with Alloy Architecture to select attractive, durable furnishings and finishes to meet our client’s goals and overall budget. Our solution was multiple seating types, including soft seating lounge areas, communal and huddle tables, study nooks, a small conference room, collaborative tables with whiteboards, café seating, and a recruitment area. All were delivered and installed by our professional, in-house team.
Newman University’s new Student Success Center should prove to be a great asset to current and future students for many years to come.
