Planning and designing your workspace is a team effort that takes creativity, attention to detail, and a thorough knowledge of your interior space and work activities. At John A. Marshall Co., we start with in-depth research into your requirements for interior space, with consideration of key elements such as traffic flow throughout the office, ratio of individual to group work settings, access to natural daylight, and purposeful interactions and collaboration.
After understanding your needs, we prepare a detailed design proposal that includes furniture selections. Then we produce block diagrams of each environment and create preliminary space plans, typicals, and a product budget.
Workspace layouts and furniture installation drawings are developed to scale using CAD software, which produces exact product counts. Our flooring team uses Callidus software to estimate product quantities and create detailed, color-coded installation drawings. The software allows us to reduce estimating, planning and installation costs, which we're then able to pass on to customers. Detailed specifications particular to your order preferences are represented for each furniture piece. Specifications are converted into factory orders that allow the manufacture and shipment of products consistent with project schedules and construction progress. When you’re ready, we can generate your specifications and order details, and check lead-times, to ensure error-free orders.
