Saint Luke's South 5th Floor Multispecialty Clinic

Not known to turn down a challenge, our Healthcare team was excited to take on this project at Saint Luke's South, furnishing a unique Multispecialty Clinic comprised of four different specialty groups.

Goal: We were excited to have the opportunity to furnish the fifth floor of the Medical Office Building at Saint Luke’s South. The project involved the full renovation of an existing floor, transforming it into a multispecialty clinic. The floorplate included distinct spaces for four separate specialty groups: AUA, ENT, General Surgery & Plastics, and Infusion & Oncology.

The final design focused on three of the four specialty groups utilizing a centralized check-in, allowing for the visibility of various departments. Saint Luke’s previously used this approach on the fourth floor of the facility, which was well received by staff, guests, and patients.

Each specialty group had its own set of requirements for the project, which made things both exciting and challenging for the team. The most challenging was within the Oncology & Infusion clinic, which made up almost half of the floor plate. We were tasked to create infusion bays that were primarily comprised of furniture, allowing for flexibility in the future. By working closely with the design team, we were able to create multiple semi-private bay areas that were comfortable for the patient and their companion, as well as functional for the staff.

Scope: John. A. Marshall Co. successfully met the design requirements of the client with a remodeled space that includes furnishings for multiple types of settings throughout. This included a shared registration/patient waiting area, exam rooms, infusion bays, patient check-out stations, private offices, team centers, a pharmacy work room, a shared conference room, and a shared break room.
