Lenexa Showroom Renovation is Complete!

It was extremely disappointing to close our offices in mid-March and go to a work from home scenario, especially since we had just finished our Lenexa showroom remodel and were looking forward to hosting many clients, A&D firms, and reps in our fresh space. On the bright side, it did allow us extra time to complete some finishing touches, like installing new LED ceiling fixtures, incorporating additional plants, and hanging artwork throughout the office.

We love that there are more functional areas to work from besides one’s workstation, including a Framery pod and several focus rooms. The café has been a big hit for small team meetings and happy hours. We watched the Chief’s Super Bowl parade on the big screen in the amphitheater and we’ve conducted many meetings and videoconferences in the Living Room. By moving the corporate design team from one end of the building to the other, they are now much closer to the design library and the sales team. Our new healthcare section of the showroom is much more cohesive and allows us to showcase products and applications better than before. The mother’s room we built out is currently being put to good use by one of our designers, and another will be returning from maternity leave in August. We have two different demountable glass wall systems in place, Muraflex and DIRTT, as well as a variety of carpet and LVT flooring lines.

On Saturday, June 27th, Sherpa Media came in for half a day to stage a photoshoot, including still photography and 360˚ photography, allowing us to create a virtual showroom tour. Given the current situation, having this tool to share with existing and potential clients should prove very useful. Adjacent to the virtual showroom link on our Lenexa location webpage, you will also find a link to a design board created by an internal sales and designer duo that brilliantly showcases all of the furniture, flooring, and architectural products utilized throughout the showroom.

We would like to thank our employees for their patience during construction. The general contractor, Team Construction, was very conscientious and did a great job of minimizing distractions while building around us. They were great to work with, as was their architect, HIVE Design Collaborative. We’re very happy with the results and we look forward to showing them off in person.
