Goal: The Cambridge Tower A at the University of Kansas Health System acknowledges the years of strategic planning, the steadfast work of numerous dedicated people, and the abundant support from donors and employees. The tower is the home to KU Health System’s surgical oncology, neuroscience, and ear, nose and throat specialties. This new, 11-story building features a total of 92 patient rooms with an additional 32 beds planned for Spring 2018. The new tower also includes a floor committed to interventional radiology, with a brand new CT scan machine, MRI, and two biplane imaging systems. The goal of Tower A was to work towards the future of educational medicine, and it beautifully showcases an atmosphere of healing for patients, family members, and visitors, while cultivating teaching and academic medicine. Our team was honored to be a part of this expansion project and was tasked with providing furniture for the entire tower. The completion of this project provided an environment that will benefit both learning and healing of all of those who will utilize this space for years to come.
Scope: For Cambridge Tower A, our team supplied furniture throughout the building, including the main lobby, patient rooms, waiting rooms, training rooms, and other public spaces including the café.
