Goal: OneDigital, a national company specializing in business consulting services, had a moderate-sized office on the south side of Overland Park, Kansas. The company’s tremendous growth over the last few years resulted in them outgrowing their current space. OneDigital’s new home at CityPlace Corporate Center, conveniently located at I-435 and 69 Highway, offered them a second-floor space that was wide open with the ability to accommodate any build-out their team required.
OneDigital partnered with several firms, including OTJ Architects, Block RE, and Pinnacle Construction, to find the perfect space configuration. After the layout was determined, we collaborated with the OneDigital leadership team to understand their goals in each department for the overall space, followed by furniture selection. The goal for OneDigital was to give their employees the best in terms of ergonomic provisions to ensure happiness and productivity in the office. In addition, they wanted their space to be known and appreciated for its flexible, “forward-thinking” design, capable of supporting their current hybrid workplace and beyond.
Scope: Our team created a high-end workspace that maintains the OneDigital company culture and allows employees to enjoy an amenity-rich work environment. To support their current workplan, we found ways to accommodate remote workers who needed quick touch-down stations to meet and collaborate with co-workers, and focused, private stations for more independent work. This included hotel workstations within each department, as well as private rooms for both audio and video conference calls. All workspaces, including private offices, were equipped with ergonomic seating and height-adjustable work surfaces to promote employee wellness.
A variety of collaborative areas throughout the space allow teams to brainstorm and work together away from their desks. Large and small conference rooms are available to host meetings of all sizes. And finally, a large café space provides lounge and dining seating for employees to work, enjoy meals, socialize with others, and grab a morning coffee to start their workday.
