Goal: The Kansas Department of Emergency Management requested urgent assistance in creating office space for new staff entrusted with managing the distribution of COVID-19 PPE to state and local government agencies, as well as private companies. Visibility throughout the space, light-colored finishes, and full-height glass tile walls were requested to create a bright, clean atmosphere.
Scope: The John A. Marshall Co. team took the client’s empty, four-cornered space and utilized full-height glass tile walls to create the space. This included a secure client waiting area visible to staff, an open office area with efficient workstations, and secure private offices with visibility throughout the front office space. In addition, a conference room, staff lounge, printing areas, and additional workstations for warehouse and distribution staff were developed. The open ceiling design required custom, extended-height power poles.
