On the heels of John A. Marshall Co.’s 100th anniversary last October, our Oklahoma City office proudly celebrated its 10th year in business as part of our organization on June 27th. To commemorate this milestone, they invited customers, friends, and partners to join them in their showroom for a special open house. Visitors enjoyed food and drinks, shared stories, and tried out new and iconic MillerKnoll furnishings first-hand.

“When Herman Miller approached us about purchasing their Oklahoma dealerships in 2012, we were excited for the opportunity to expand outside of Kansas and Missouri,” said Stephen Marshall, John A. Marshall Co.’s Managing Partner. “We spent 18 months performing due diligence and working through the details with the Herman Miller team before closing the deal on May 30, 2014. Looking back on it now, it was time and money well spent, because we’re fortunate to have two great teams – one in Oklahoma City and the other in Tulsa – led by people who are passionate about their communities, employees, and clients.”

When asked what made John A. Marshall Co. special within their community, John Baker, Vice President of Sales, said, “During our ten years here, our dealership has made great strides in performance, relationships, and community support. The essence of our success is entangled within OKC’s “Champions’ Mindset,” which is based upon three key elements that we transcend in all facets of our business: Excellence, Professionalism, and Teamwork. Whether we are working on a project, supporting a worthy cause, or creating an internal policy, we use those three key elements to provide the best solution possible.”

“John A. Marshall Co. is a leader in OKC because of our PEOPLE,” continued Baker. "We are a team that works together, goes the extra mile, and is clearly focused on providing excellence to our clients, A&D partners, and each other. Together we bring our clients’ spaces to life.”

The open house was attended by approximately 150 guests, which confirms the company’s standing within the Oklahoma City community. To make the event even more special for guests, more than 20 manufacturer reps donated unique door prizes, which were won throughout the evening.

To further entice guests into attending, John A. Marshall Co. sweetened the pot with two larger door prizes: a custom Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, won by Isaac Hines (Tradesman Studios), and an OFS Room Phone Booth, won by ADG Blatt. See below for a full list of other Manufacturers/Reps and Winners.

“When I welcomed everyone to the party, the first words out of my mouth were ‘WOW!’’ said Baker. “Our entire team was humbled by the large number of guests and valued partners who supported us in making it such a wonderful event. The kind words so many attendees passed along about how much fun our event was made it worth all the hard work our team put into it. We cannot thank our clients enough for making these past ten years possible! If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be here.”
